About the Event
A program on “Sustainable Earth and the Uses of Medicinal Plants” was conducted by Director Rajashree Ravi Sir. During the program, students were educated about the importance of environmental conservation. Information was given about the uses of various medicinal plants such as Tulsi, Madhunashini, Aloe Vera, Amrutha Balli, Adu Muttada Balli, White Hibiscus, Lemon Grass, Patpatte Plant, Doddapatre, and Mehendi Plant. The benefits of growing these medicinal plants were also explained in detail. Mr. Srinivas Murthy Sir, who has nearly 25 years of experience in this field, shared valuable information and guidance. He also encouraged people suffering from negative effects by giving them mental peace and confidence through his inspiring words. He donated 10 medicinal plants to the school. Finally, all the guests who participated in the program were honored with gratitude by the school’s Ramakrishna Shastry Sir. n this program, detailed information was provided about the development of rural poor people, ways to carry out agricultural activities effectively, and the benefits of cultivating medicinal plants. The program mainly focused on creating awareness among people about sustainable farming and improving their livelihoods through medicinal plant cultivation. Mr. Ravi, the Project Director of the Bhoomi Sustainable Development Organization, which was established in 2006, participated in the program. He has rendered services in eight districts of Karnataka. Mr. Srinivas Murthy from Vijayanagara, Bengaluru, also took part in the event. The senior member of our school, Mr. Ramakrishna Shastry, our Headmistress Lakshmi Madam, and Mr. Jayasimha sir also attended the program as guests.
